21 weeks...lots of pics.

This past week was CRAZY!!! We had all of our family come into town Thursday night and stay until Monday for my cousin Rachel's wedding. It was so much fun to have everyone together. I get high on family time. Nothing is better in my mind. The nugget must have loved it all too because he has really started kickin like crazy. It's at least once an hour that I feel him now and I just can't get enough. I honestly can't wait to feel him again even if it's been a few minutes ago. It just amazes me because I was seriously worried that I would never get to have that feeling and to know he is real and he is growing and getting strong and doing well just makes me so emotional. I'd be lying if I said I had not cried a few times just laying here feeling him move. But enough chatter. Pictures say 1000 words so on to the weekend pictures!!!

We had everyone over to our house for dinner on Friday night. There were twenty something people there and it was awesome.
Not sure if David was making this face on purpose but it's still funny. These are my cousins. Brianna, Staci and David.

That's about it for this week. It was such an epic weekend but man I was exhausted when everyone left.

Chalkboard time.

How far along? 21 weeks, baby is the size of a Pomegranate
Total weight gain: I've gained a few more pounds this week. total of -8 now. The wedding and all our company helped with that. My belly is getting big and I don't think it's all real baby this week, I think food baby is involved here.

Maternity clothes? Yep, ordered a few more things from Zulily this week.
Sleep: I am gonna cave and buy myself a maternity pillow so I can sleep more comfortably.
Best moment this week: My cousin's wedding and all our family in town.
Miss Anything? Spiking my cider at the wedding at the cider bar and all of my family now that they have all gone home :(
Movement: Oh yeah, He is super active this week. I don't have to lay around anymore to try and feel him, it just happens at all times during the day and it's so much fun to have the constant reassurance he is in there saying "Hey momma, I'm ok!"
Food cravings: Nothin special.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope, still doin great with the sickness thing.
Gender: Boy!
Symptoms: Stuffy nose again, stretching belly (but no stretch marks yet thank god). Not much else though
Belly Button in or out? in but getting much much more shallow now.
Wedding rings on or off? on
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!! I loved having everyone in town this week and celebrating Rachel and Marcus's wedding with them.
Looking forward to: Decorating the nursery (we are getting started) and finding his furniture and the holidays!

20 weeks

Not much exciting happened this week. We basically spent the week deep cleaning the house. I went into full blown nesting mode this week. I took the vacuum cleaner hose and went along every baseboard and step in our house and got rid of all the dust and dirt and dog hair that had settled there. Gross!! Then I scrubbed all 4 of our bathrooms completely from top to bottom. I did laundry and cleaned out our closet and started getting the baby's room ready. I cleaned and mopped all of our hard wood floors and dusted etc etc you name it. Taylor helped deep clean and scrub every square inch of the kitchen and helped with laundry and such. I just couldn't stop. But it was good because we were getting ready for all our family to be in town. I didn't realize that nesting started so early but I was just ready for a sparkly house for our baby and guests. I have energy back now so that was super helpful too.  Other than that we just worked and slept basically.

We had our 20 week ultrasound on Tuesday and baby looks perfect! He measured 13oz and we got a few cute pictures of him and got to watch him for awhile and make sure all his organs and everything looked good. My placenta still looks good and the blood flow to it seems sufficient. My doctor said I am just pseudo- high risk now and she feels good about my progress and baby's. He is in the 53rd percentile for his weight which is perfect. We also are 100% sure about his name and I am ready to order personalized items for him now and get working on the nursery. Here are a few cute pictures of him this week.
If his little face is hard to see, I labeled things for you in the next pic. VVV

Showing us how strong he is!

And the first baby of the family ^^^

Chalkboard time:

How far along? 20 weeks! HALFWAY THERE!!!!! Baby is the size of a Banana. He weighed 13oz at our sonogram and was about 6.5 inches long.
Total weight gain: I've gained 2 more pounds this week. total of -11 now. My doctor is happy with my weight gain and wants me to gain 0.5-1lb/ week now until I hit 28 weeks because baby is growing at his fastest rate during these weeks. With the holidays coming up I doubt I have any trouble doing that. Yikes.

Maternity clothes? Yep, just ordered a few more things off of Zulily. I love that site!
Sleep: I am going to get a maternity pillow this week! Although I have been sleeping a little better lately. Not as many aweful dreams and baby is moving up in my abdomen so he isn't using my bladder like a trampoline anymore.
Best moment this week: Having everyone come into town!
Miss Anything? Not really.
Movement: Oh yeah! I used to have to lay on my back and have no sound on and just lay my hands on my stomach and concentrate and then I could feel him kick and flutter around. Now I feel him all the time, especially when I'm singing in the car. Munchkin LOVES George strait lol.
Food cravings: Nothing really. I wandered around the grocery store for awhile today because nothing sounded good and ended up getting 3 different kinds of cereal because I couldn't decide.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope. Still haven't gotten sick in a few weeks! Woot woot!
Gender: BOY
Symptoms: Stuffy nose and Sciatic pain in my left leg. It's the weirdest feeling!
Belly Button in or out? in but getting much much more shallow now.
Wedding rings on or off? on
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!!
Looking forward to: I can't wait for our family to get into town!  And next week we are painting the nursery.

25 days of christmas bucket list

I am so excited for the holidays I can bearly stand it! By the time Christmas hits I will be 28 weeks pregnant and this little nugget will be growin wild. I honestly have been waiting my whole life to share the holiday traditions my family has with my own littles and although little man won't have actually been born this year for Christmas I am ecstatic to start getting things ready for him this year so that next year is even better! I'm gonna do a 25 days of Christmas bucket list for this year.

We all know that I'm really big on memory making around here and I want to remember this year I celebrate the holidays with my first baby bump in tow. Next year is going to be even better with a 9 month old nugget!

25. Play with Cora in the snow. Find her a ridiculous outfit, maybe reindeer antlers or a  funny sweater.

24. Go cut down and buy a real Christmas tree & stash vases of fresh trimmings all around the house and make our annual tree trunk ornament.

23. Send Christmas cards & find a way to display all the ones we receive.

22. Buy a new red nailpolish. Maybe with glitter in it.

21. Hang a string of colored lights around my baby bump chalkboard.

20. Hang Christmas lights up outside with Taylor. Or...watch Taylor do it. lol

19. Decorate my house for Christmas

18. Brave the crowds for black Friday shopping (on FRIDAY)

17. Do at least 5 of my DIY Christmas decor projects I've had on pinned on pinterest for the last year or so.

16. Listen to Christmas music..... ALL. THE. TIME.

15. Pay for someone's coffee in line behind me in a coffee shop or drive through.

14. Find marty moose mugs like Christmas vacation.

13. Order the "Merry Christmas ya filthy animal" onesie I saw on pinterest.

12. Buy a few festive cozy winter socks

11. Make treats and cookies for neighbors, co-workers & friends with my mom and sister.

10. Drink hot chocolate & drive around looking at Christmas lights while blaring Christmas music.

9. Play Secret Santa at work.

8. Go to either the thanksgiving plaza lighting or the crown center mayor's tree lighting.

7. Make a gingerbread house with my sister.

6. Start a Christmas children's book collection for the babe.

5. Go Christmas shopping at crown center & enjoy the hustle & bustle!

4. Make a festive breakfast for Taylor in bed.

3. Hang & stuff stockings.

2. Watch Home Alone & Home Alone 2 back to back. Merry Christmas, ya filthy animal.
